Background
A Chartered Accountant by profession, I have been into fitness since the age of 13. At that age where I was teased by many for being fat, I took it upon myself to lose all the extra weight. With all the gym and aerobics, I certainly lost the extra weight, but also the quality of health. Moreover, I had been suffering from migraines since the early years and this problem only got worse with increasing internship working hours. This is the time when I realized that I need something more than a gym to improve the quality of my health and life and that’s when I stumbled onto Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga ( AVY) , which changed my health and also my life completely.
This made me go deeper into Yoga and AVY in particular and learn more about it. I have been practicing AVY for over 4 years now and have been going to Mysore every year to study at KPJAYI- Krishna Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute – the only officially recognized institute of Ashtanga Yoga worldwide (and the source of the ancient AVY practice).
Why I Teach
My love for this practice and experiencing its tremendous benefits myself, led me to influencing and teaching the people around. My one and only dream is to influence and help as many people around to experience the limitless potential of the human body, mind and spirit through this treasured Indian practice of AVY.
And my teaching shares my experiences over the past few years of practicing one of the most powerful, popular and proven methods of yoga called the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
